Approach of exercise immunological on moderate-vs high-intensity exercise in male collegians
Na Jae-Cheol

Abstract
The present study was conducted to examine the influcence of moderate-vs high-intensity exercise on changes in leukocyte subpopolations and natural killer cells 7male collegians performed 30 min at 60% VO2max and 20 min(exhaustion) at 80% VO2max by using a treadmill. The results are as follows. There was significant(p<.01) increase in total white blood cell counts, percentage of lymphocyte, absolute number of monocyte, and the percentage and absolate number of natural killer cells after moderate-and high-intensity exercise. Whereas the ratio of neutrophil to lymphocyte proposed as an excellent index of the physiological stress on the immune system is founded to have a decrease after tow different intensity exercise. These results demonstrated that an acute bout of physical exercise can cause siginificant changes in the immunological homeostasis and it is thought that moderate-vs hight-intesity exercise will be regarded to have a positive effect in the innate immune function.
